Local Roots and Deeply Qualified:
Married to Sherri 33 years, 3 grown kids, 4 grandkids.
Sherri was born at Cape Canaveral Hospital, I moved from Washington DC to Cocoa Beach at 14.
Graduated Cocoa Beach High School.
Electrical Engineering degree from Purdue University & an MBA from Florida Atlantic University.
Worked 12 years in the corporate world (Coulter Corp, Symbiosis Corp and Ericsson Telecom) mostly in supply chain and operations.
Moved back to Cocoa Beach 20 years ago to be closer to family (over 50 relatives live in the area).
Got involved and continue with real estate investing and stock market trading - I do have a Brokerage license mainly for my own use but occasionally offer my services to others.
Experienced with Proven Leadership:
In 2010, I wanted to help my hometown by running for office.
I was a Cocoa Beach Commissioner for 2 years and then became Mayor for 3 years.
Primary focus was on making City Hall friendlier and encouraging reinvestment and development while preserving the small-town family resort character per its Charter.
Built on Cocoa Beach's world-famous name by promoting Cocoa Beach as a great place to Live, Play and Work.
Helped conservatively navigate the budget through the financial disaster following the great real estate bust.
Built a new hurricane hardened fire station so first responders can stay beachside during a storm to help those in need.
Got rid of the old Glass Bank - an eyesore for decades.
Please promote me to County Commission!
Then I'll promote Merritt Island, Rockledge, Cocoa and the Beaches as the perfect place to Live, Play and Work!
